A Round Table on
Right to Safer School Campaign
 
Dr. A. M. Prabhakaran lighting lamp to launch Right to Safer School Campaign Kit, Ahmedabad, January 10, 2007. Participants included experts and stakeholders from 5 states of India and abroad. Participants shared experiences of past four years and made plans to consolidate activities.
Dr. Dar, Kashmir, emphasising concept of schools as "hub of safety" in local communities. Local to global listening and reflections were key activities. Dr. Milind Bokil, Oxfam Australia, launched the Right to Safer Schools Campaign Kit.
Dr Tony Vaux emphasised school safety as a development issue. "How do we keep schools safe?" Mihir R. Bhatt discussed activities, one to one, for next two years. Dr. R. N. Vakil delivering the inaugural address for the campaign.
